Birth name Donald McNichol Sutherland

Born July 17, 1934, Saint John, New Brunswick

Height 6' 4" (1.93 m)

Donold Sutherland was educated in the University of Toronto (engineering, drama); LAMDA, London; RADA, London.  Raised in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, he took an early interest in the entertainment industry, becoming a radio DJ by the time he was fourteen.  Because of his height - 6ft 4inches - he found it difficult to get acting parts.

One of his first acting parts was in the television series 'The Saint'.   In 1967, Robert Aldrich cast him as a retarded killer in the highly successful The Dirty Dozen.  In 1992 Donold was in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
