Rutger Hauer In Santa Fe
Santa Fe Film Festival, from 28th November to the 2nd December
Visitors to Santa Fe, New Mexico, may not realize movies like "3:10 to Yuma" and television shows like "Kid Nation" have been filmed in and around the city. But this fall's Santa Fe Film Festival, from November 28th to December 2nd, ought to remedy that, or at least draw in cineastes to see Rutger Hauer accept a lifetime achievement award, as well as sneak previews of prestige films to be announced.
Actor Rutger Hauer of BLADERUNNER and LADYHAWKE is named one of this year’s several Luminaria Tributees. Hauer is also well known for his early work with acclaimed Dutch director Paul Verhoeven. Other Luminaria Tributees include documentary filmmakers Marina Goldaskaya and Alanis Obomsawin as well as husband and wife filmmakers John Bailey and Carol Littleton. John Bailey will be honoured for his accomplished work as Director of Photography on such films as THE BIG CHILL, GROUNDHOG DAY and ORDINARY PEOPLE. Carol Littleton will be recognized as a leading editor in the film industry with nearly 30 films on her resume including ET, SILVERADO, THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE and THE ANNIVERSARY PARTY, which she collaborated on with her husband, John Bailey.
